Encryption is one of the most effective data protection methods used by organizations.
It transforms data in a way so that only people with access to a secret key (formally called a decryption key) can read it. Encrypted data is commonly referred to as ciphertext, while unencrypted data is called plaintext.
One of the main (but not only) reasons to implement encryption is to protect data confidentiality as it is stored on computer systems and transmitted using the internet or other computer networks. This indeed allows organizations to rely on this security control to greatly mitigate for example the risks of data breaches.
While this, in theory, is well understood it is not straightforward to implement encryption effectively in practice.
Computer Sweden and IBM invite you to a webinar where we will guide you through the key challenges businesses face today in regards to their data protection journey.
